Emotions
The next step I try to take in planning web projects is to think about how I want folks to feel about the experience, and do my best to have those ideal feelings support my reasons for making the site. I call this step “emotions,” and it’s a written exercise that uses adjectives or descriptive phrases like concepts on a mood board. Sometimes I’ll list them, but here I think I’ll just keep writing sentences.
I want visitors of Nice Web Type to feel excited, but not overwhelmed. Like they’ve found a reliable, organized, up-to-date resource they can trust for insight, news, and reference. A place that fuels interest in typography and channels that interest with practical advice and tools. Visitors of Nice Web Type should feel better about themselves and their abilities.
Good start. Next up, some sketching and some loose visual work.
